Led by Lyndal Williams, Willow Architecture + Design is a Melbourne-based studio specialising in transformative residential design - from heritage renovations to modern new builds

Willow Architecture + Design began in Colorado in 2007 and has called Melbourne home since 2010. We specialise in residential architecture, creating elegant and sustainable designs that respond to your brief, budget, site and climate.

Based near Bayside, we partner closely with clients from the very beginning. With over 25 years of experience in residential design, we help you uncover your needs and turn them into a clear, well-considered project brief, supported by creative ideas grounded in your site and lifestyle.

Every home we design is unique. Our goal is to unlock the best possible outcome for your project - navigating challenges and balancing time, cost and quality to align with your priorities.

We work with a reliable network of builders and understand local council processes extremely well. By acting as your single point of contact, we maintain consistency of vision and make the journey from concept to construction as seamless as possible.

With over three decades of residential architectural experience, Lyndal Williams leads Willow Architecture + Design with a wealth of knowledge gained across Melbourne, Perth, and Aspen, Colorado. Her career has spanned the full spectrum of the built environment, from luxury custom homes and high-end hotel projects to multi-residential developments and intimate, family-focused renovations.

Lyndal’s approach is rooted in site-responsive design -understanding the unique orientation of the land and the lifestyle of the people who will call it home. She thrives on collaborating closely with clients to refine their brief, focusing on creating warm, modern spaces that maximise natural light, climate efficiency, and seamless landscape integration.

Balancing creative vision with technical practicality, Lyndal navigates the complexities of town planning and construction to make the design journey seamless and enjoyable. For Lyndal, the greatest reward is helping clients realise their vision and seeing them fall in love with a home that truly reflects how they live.
