Established as a practice in Colorado in 2007 and relocated to Melbourne in 2010, Willow Architecture + Design specialises in residential architecture, striving to achieve elegant solutions that address the brief, budget, site and climatic conditions in a creative and sustainable manner. 

Based near Bayside Melbourne, Willow A+D is committed to working closely with our clients every step of the way. With over 25 years experience in residential design, we can help identify your needs and requirements, evolving them into a comprehensive project brief and developing creative concepts based in your specific requirements and site.

We specialise in unique and individual solutions ensuring the project reaches its maximum potential while overcoming any challenges and working to resolve time, quality and cost implications in accordance with your needs and priorities.  

Additionally, we have connections with several trusted builders and have extensive experience in dealing with local councils.  We believe it's important to have a single point of reference in order to provide continuity of design, management and consistency and to facilitate the path from conception through all permit process to construction and completion.

As Principal of Willow Architecture + Design, Lyndal’s impressive post-graduate experience spans over 30 years during which she has practised in various cities including Melbourne, Perth, and Aspen, Colorado (USA). Throughout her extensive career, Lyndal has engaged in a diverse array of residential projects that range from high-end custom housing and luxurious hotel developments to multi-residential complexes and single-family homes and renovations.

The evolution of Lyndal’s projects stems from a deep appreciation and understanding of the specific site and landscape involved, as well as a commitment to closely collaborating with the client to effectively refine and advance the project brief. She possesses a desire to create unique, interesting, and inspired interior spaces, coupled with a strong belief in the principles of passive solar design and an enduring passion for modern design aesthetics. These projects not only integrate harmoniously with the site but also foster a dynamic yet sheltering sense of space that responds thoughtfully to the local vernacular while meeting the client’s budgetary and functional requirements.
